First Day of Kindergarten

You know when you get those glimpses of who your young children might be when they're teenagers?  Well, I had just that experience on The Boys first day of Kindergarten.  My attempts at getting a decent shot of my backpack-laden little boys was met with numerous tell-it-to-the-hand poses accompanied by my choir of angels singing, "NO Mom!"

So THIS was the best I could do!  A memorable day just the same... even without award winning photographs.

  1. Wow, Maggie! The guys are getting so grown up! That talk to the hand photo is hilarious!
I took my "baby" to college last week. I feel like i have a fur ball in my throat.
Here's to a great school year!

  2. So, the journey begins... into a new world and away from the nest... you will hear nothing but "teacher says..." from now on and it will be glorious and painful at the same time... the influence is waning and it's all wonderful... you have fine young boys, there... you can be very proud... come visit when you catch your breath...

  3. Catherine -- I took more than several nothing-but-hand, faceless zoom shots of The Little Man. This was the only one with a glimpse of my Big Little Man's face. Maybe they're hiding their wild teenage hair-dos LOL.

  4. Adorable boys . . . hope you have a wonderful school year! Getting into the routine is a struggle (for me), but my guy seems to love the structure.
